We are delighted to welcome everyone, young and old, to attend the upcoming Strawberry Fair.
It’s going to be an exciting event, unlike any other hosted in Bradford-on-Tone! We will be raising money for Bradford-on-Tone’s Community Shop, Village Hall and St Giles’ Church, so please bring along some cash as well as your card.
Here’s some more infomation about the upcoming event…

Local celebrity resident, BBC broadcasting legend and current Deputy Lieutenant of Somerset, Clinton Rogers, will be opening the event at 2pm.

Bradford-on-Tone’s highly sought after talented band of local musicians, Fresh Aire will be entertaining us all with their unique jigs, reels and airs.

The Quantocks Gold Award winning Dryad Gin team will be whipping up some unique strawberry-themed cocktails for the event…and a couple of more traditional cocktails for those who don’t like strawberries!

Freshly picked strawberries from Nynehead Fruit Farm will be on offer, coupled with cream and home-baked scones and cakes, courtesy of the many superb bakers in the village. Our vegan and gluten-free guests of course will be catered for.

Naturally, our younger visitors have not been forgotten, with a plethora of exciting features, including a bouncy castle (no charge for this, but parents/guardians will need to be on hand to keep an eye on proceedings), face painting and a pick and mix sweet stall.
The Raffle
The raffle needs a section of its own, as there are some incredible prizes, thanks to some very generous local businesses and residents. Clinton Rogers has kindly agreed to draw the raffle at 4pm on the day:

Half-hour ride in a choice of modern and classic cars.
Top-Gear lovers will be beside themselves with this incredibly generous prize; a 30-minute exhilarating ride around our local villages in a head-turning car!

A tour and tasting for two at Sheppy’s House of Cider.
Our neighbours at Sheppy’s have offered a gift certificate for two people to attend a tour and tasting at their local House of Cider.
The tour is 1.5 hours long offering a dedicated guide for the duration. A bottle of award winning London Dry Gin
Not only are Dryad Gin attending to serve you some incredible cocktail creations, but they have also offered up a bottle of their award-winning London Dry Gin as a raffle prize (over 18s only).
Dryad Gin’s signature London Dry Gin captures the sublime beauty of the Quantocks, from the wild, heather-soaked heathlands to the patchwork-like pastures where the gorse flowers bloom, creating an authentic taste of Somerset. Each bottle is a numbered as a limited first batch of 600 has been created. Inspired by the ethereal spirits who guard the ancient woodlands, Dryad Gin is finished with subtle hints of cardamom, cinnamon, orange peel and almond for a rich, earthy edge.

Pot Feet for your garden
Willowbrook Nursery and Garden Centre has very kindly offered a set of 3 pot feet with a cute cat design.
Pot feet are designed to improve the drainage and air circulation under your garden container, helping to reduce lingering moisture and protect against frost.
